I've been hearing hype about the new movie Babies for several months now, but I just realized it's opening this weekend (just in time for Mother's Day). If you haven't heard, it's a documentary that follows the first year of life of 4 babies in 4 different places on the planet: Namibia, Japan, Mongolia, and USA. I've only seen the trailer, but it looks fascinating. I look forward to seeing how each of the different cultures raise their children and what we can learn from these other cultures. I'm sure there will be a lot of great images from the movie, but just to give you a taste, here's one clip that I just loved.
If you go see the film this weekend, I'd love to hear your reactions. I hope to see it soon and write a review myself.
